Global Cloud Status is a live map of cloud provider region health, with AI model, DNS, certificate authority and submarine cable status, and a feed of outage news. It is a non-commercial project. Back to the map.

How it works

• Cloud regions (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, CoreWeave) come from each provider's public status page or feed, refreshed every 10 minutes.
• AI models (Anthropic, OpenAI): status pages track products, not models, so a model is flagged when an active incident names it or when the provider's API is having problems.
• DNS: Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 and Google Public DNS are tested with live queries; root servers A–M are queried directly (E and F follow Cloudflare's status page).
• Public certificate authorities: each CA's certificate-issuing (ACME) and revocation-check (OCSP) endpoints are tested, plus its status page where one exists.
• Service incidents come from the public status pages of widely used services.
• Data center news: headlines from industry news and news search are filtered automatically by an AI model (Google Gemini), which picks reports of real incidents. It can miss events or include irrelevant ones.
• Submarine cables: a cable is shown as cut while recent data center news names it. There is no official status feed for cables.

Status shown here can be delayed, incomplete or wrong; always check the provider's own status page before acting on it. Everything on this site is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.

• Cloud regions: AWS Health Dashboard, Azure status, Google Cloud Service Health, CoreWeave status (Status.io).
• AI models: status.claude.com, status.openai.com.
• Service incidents: the public status pages of Claude, OpenAI, Cloudflare, Akamai, DNSimple, GitHub, Atlassian, Datadog, Vercel, Netlify, Twilio, DigitalOcean, Zoom and Slack.
• Public certificate authorities: public ACME and OCSP endpoints, and the status pages of Let's Encrypt, DigiCert, GlobalSign and GoDaddy.
• News: DatacenterDynamics, Data Center Knowledge and Bing News search results; each item links to its original publisher.

• Submarine cable routes and names: TeleGeography Submarine Cable Map, licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 3.0. Modified: route coordinates simplified; names indexed for matching. Our derived cable files are shared under the same license.
• World map: country outlines from Natural Earth (public domain), via the world-atlas package.

Privacy

The site itself sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. It keeps two preferences in your browser's local storage, which is not sent to any server: whether to show times in UTC, and any news sources you have hidden.

Pages and data are served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site, and may set its own security cookies, for example when it checks whether a visitor is a bot. The map's country outlines are loaded from the jsDelivr CDN, which also receives standard request data.
